Botox is a nerve toxin that has been safely used since 1980 for medicinal purposes in healthcare. In 2002 Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox) was approved for cosmetic purposes. It is now considered one of the most popular treatments worldwide. Botulinum Toxin works by blocking nerve signals to injected muscles, temporarily inactivating movement and preventing wrinkles from appearing and worsening. Common areas for treatment include frown lines, lines around the eyes (crows feet) and forehead lines however the treatment is also effective when treating Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)  and reducing the effects of migraine.
