Before

After

Here's how it works

• The procedure will usually last about 45 minutes.
• The client will be introduced to the therapist and a brief explanation of the procedure will take place.
• A bib and glasses will be placed onto the client.
• A tooth color shade will be agreed and recorded
• The teeth will be gently blow-dried.
• A gum dam (a soft cement) will be placed between the gum and the top of the teeth.
• The gum dam is then cured for 15 seconds.
• The cheek retractor is put in place; this enables the tongue, lips, and cheeks to be held gently out of the way.
• The teeth whitening gel is applied to the teeth
• The activator light is then positioned just above the mouth for ten minutes.
• The gel is removed by suction from the aspirator unit and the process is repeated for two more applications.
• The gum dam is removed and the mouth thoroughly rinsed.
• The client is then shown the result with a hand held mirror and the teeth graded for whiteness (usually about 6/7 shades)
• The client is then informed as to what food and drinks are permitted and finally thanked and shown back to the waiting area.
